Christ is risen! It 's really risen!
As Pope Benedict XVI said, " ultimately we want only one thing -" the blessed life ", life is simply life, simply" happiness ". "(Spe Salvi, 11).
We are all searching for happiness and we would like this there was always assured by the wonderful "toy" of the relationship of science and technology, typical of the modern era, which guarantees the right properties and quality of life higher than ever.
In truth, however, "... the moral welfare of the world can never be guaranteed simply through structures alone, however good they are. These structures are not only important but necessary, yet they can not and should not take out the freedom of man. (...) Anyone who promises the better world that is guaranteed to last forever, making a false promise, he is overlooking human freedom. (...) If there were structures which could irrevocably guarantee a certain - well - state of the world, would be denied the freedom of man, and therefore are not ultimately good structures. (...) "(Spe Salvi, 24)
a bit 'all if we look inside we were told they with these false promises. The ideologies of right or left as they are, the consumerist and hedonistic liberalism we have filled the heart of these false expectations. And that's why when we happen to fall a bit 'in ourselves, if we are honest, we discover that our "solitude" has not been filled.
why Easter is important to this unique opportunity that gives us Jesus Christ to make an exodus from all that leaves us in our loneliness, our emptiness, freedom and real life, the blessed life!
" It 's true that anyone who does not know God, but may have all kinds of hopes, is ultimately without hope, without the great hope that sustains all life (cf. Eph 2:12). Great, true hope of man, which survives in spite of all disappointments can only be God - the God who loves us and loves us still, "until the end," until the consummation "(cf. Jn 13:1 and 19, 30). Whoever is moved by love begins to perceive what "life." Begins to perceive what it means to the word of hope that we encountered in the Baptismal Rite: from faith I await "eternal life" - the true life which, whole and unthreatened, in all its fullness, is simply life. Jesus himself said he came that we might have life and have it in its fullness, in abundance (cf. Jn 10:10), we also explained what "life" means: "This is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God, and whom you have sent, Jesus Christ" (Jn 17:3). Life in the true sense is not something we have in him alone, nor only for itself: it is a relationship . And life in its totality is a relationship with Him who is the source of life. If we are in relation with him who dies, who is Life itself and Love itself, then we are in life. Then we "live." "(Spe Salvi, 27).
